Participants will learn introductory techniques for researching foundation, corporate and government grant programs by utilizing print and electronic sources, including the Internet. Even more importantly, you will learn how to separate grantmakers that only look promising on paper from those that are real prospects.

Trainer
Sharon Vardatira, NEN's Senior Fund Development Specialist since 1996, will facilitate this webinar. She has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and consultation, including as Development Director and Executive Director of several Boston-area nonprofits. Since 1995, she has provided nonprofit management consultation to NEN and its member organizations, as well as to other regional and national non-profit agencies, educational institutions, and organizations working on a wide variety of issues. In addition to providing board training and consultation, she has also served on and chaired a variety of nonprofit boards, ranging from boards of small, grassroots organizations to boards of large regional and national organizations. Vardatira is a member of the National Society of Fundraising Executives, Associated Grantmakers of Massachusetts, and Foundation Center.
