2009-2010 WEBINAR SERIES

SUSTAINABILITY:
What Happens After the Grant Runs Out

"How do you plan to fund the work after the grant period?" Grantmakers just love to ask this question, and grantwriters just love to find ways around it. Instinctively, we know the truth — that we have no idea — is not going to win us any fans. So some of us gaze at this question and freeze. Others of us simply cut and paste a stock answer about proving our worth and move on. And others of us skip it altogether. But what if we really did have a plan? What would a strong response look like? And how can we get there? This webinar will focus on:
  • Why grantmakers ask about sustainability and what they are looking for in a response
  • Meaningful strategies for continuing work after a grant period is ended
  • The elements of a sustainability plan

Webinars
A webinar (a web seminar) is a combination conference call and interactive web page. During the webinar, you will be listening by phone and looking at live instructional information through your web browser. You can ask questions and participate in discussions over the phone and also raise your hand by clicking a button online. When you register, you will receive an email with easy-to-follow instructions to get you online quickly for the class. By taking a webinar instead of an in-person course, you can learn the content without any travel time!
